I want to share with you an extended itinerary of Montenegro and surrounding countries. In my opinion, this is the best itinerary if you are coming for 10-12 days. Why 10 if there are only 8 riding days? It’s hard to go through it without stopping. I highly recommend to take a couple of days of rest, maybe dedicate it to hiking, canyoning or other activities.
The route lies through the whole of Montenegro.
Also, we added a part of Albania and its fabulous SH20 and Theth NP in Albania by the asphalt road SH21 to make your experience outstanding. And do not miss Mostar, Sarajevo, Sutjeska NP, and other beautiful places in Bosnia and Hercegovina.
In the itinerary, we only cover the places you can visit in Montenegro and around. The route depends a lot on your skills, preferences, and driving pace. We share recommendations about places that should not be missed. But whether to explore Montenegro only for a couple of days or a week, or even more, is up to you. This is just one of the itinerary options for exploring Montenegro, you don’t have to rigidly follow it. There is always something to add and something to take away.
